REGULAR WEDNESDAY EVENING BOTANICAL ART CLASSES

Held at St Luke’s Therapy Centre in Stroud, 53 Cainscross Road, GL5 4EX (Parking available or nearby on residential roads.)

Wednesday evenings - 19:00 - 20:45

6 week blocks covering watercolour techniques, drawing skills and botany knowledge.

£85 if you provide your own materials. See materials list

Wednesday 22nd January 20205- Snowdrops - recap of botany of flowers, and focus on painting in white

Wednesday 29th January 2025 -Winter Jasmine or Winter Twigs - focus on pen / pencil work

Wednesday 5th February 2025 - Winter Greens - pak choi, kale or cabbage. Painting green and experimenting with textures.

Wednesday 12th February 2025 - Crocus’ - a look at their anatomy and corms / roots.

Wednesday 19th February 2025 - Primroses - careful colour matching. Veins in leaves.

Wednesday 26th February 2025 - Choose your own subject or complete unfinished or missed subjects, using techniques learnt throughout the sessions. Karen will support and guide you as needed.

Class notes are emailed out each week so even if you can’t attend one week, you will be able to practice at home.

Paintbrushes for watercolour (pointed)- a variety of sizes eg. 1, 3, 6

Watercolour paints - small beginners set is fine.
